Mentorship Program

Through our Mentorship Program, we connect youth with caring adults who provide guidance, encouragement, and support. This relationship helps build confidence and fosters a sense of belonging for the children we serve.

Safe Housing Program

Feel Safe

The Safe Housing Program at Ayonna's Safe Haven provides emergency shelter and care for abused and neglected children currently living in dangerous or harmful environments. We offer a safe, nurturing space with 24/7 supervision, trauma-informed care, counseling, medical support, and case management. Our goal is to protect each child, begin the healing process, and help them transition toward long-term stability and safety.

Our Community Engagement program builds strong relationships with local residents, organizations, and leaders to raise awareness, provide resources, and foster support for children in crisis. A little about A'yonna

Ayonna was a bright light — full of laughter, energy, and joy. She loved to sing, dance, and bring smiles to everyone around her. Her presence lit up every room, and her playful spirit was unforgettable. Tragically, Ayonna’s life was taken too soon at just 5 years old, leaving a deep void in the hearts of those who loved her. In her honor, Ayonna’s Safe Haven was created to protect and uplift other children facing unsafe environments. Her legacy lives on through every life we touch — a reminder that even the smallest among us can spark lasting change.

Ayonna’s story is a heartbreaking reminder of how urgent it is to protect our most vulnerable. Her memory fuels our mission to provide safety, love, and opportunity to children experiencing neglect or abuse. Every service we offer — from emergency shelter to mentorship and healing programs — is grounded in the hope that no child will suffer the way Ayonna did. Her life inspires us to fight for those who can’t fight for themselves. Through this work, Ayonna’s light continues to shine, guiding us as we create safe futures for others like her.

Last Christmas, Ayonna’s Safe Haven had the privilege of adopting a family whose world had been forever changed by the tragic loss of their two young sons, ages 9 and 11. We were honored to surround their family with love, compassion, and Christmas joy during an especially difficult season.

Bringing Christmas Joy, One Child at a Time

Every child deserves to experience the joy, excitement, and magic of Christmas. At Ayonna’s Safe Haven for Abused and Neglected Children, our Christmas Toy Program is dedicated to spreading holiday cheer and supporting families in our community. We understand that the holiday season can bring financial challenges for many households. Our goal is to help make Christmas a little brighter by providing toys and gifts for children while reminding families that they are not alone. We invite parents and legal guardians to complete our Christmas Toy Program application for their children. Please provide accurate information so we can better understand your family's needs and coordinate available assistance. Please note: Submitting an application does not guarantee assistance. Toy distribution is subject to eligibility requirements, available donations, and program capacity. Paris founded Ayonna’s Safe Haven with a heart for children and families who are facing circumstances no child should ever have to experience. She believes every child deserves to feel safe, loved, protected, heard, and valued—and that families deserve access to support when they need it most. What started with a vision has grown into a mission focused on creating safe spaces, connecting families with resources, providing support and mentorship, and empowering children to see that their circumstances do not have to define their future.

As Founder and Executive Director, Paris is committed to being more than the person behind the organization. She is committed to being present in the community, building meaningful partnerships, advocating for children, and helping create pathways toward healing, stability, and hope.

“I believe every child deserves a safe place to grow, a voice that is heard, and someone willing to stand in their corner. Ayonna’s Safe Haven is my commitment to making sure children and families know they are not alone.” This work is deeply personal, but it is also bigger than one person.
